Current mood:  blah

Hiho everybody, Sad Kermit the Frog here.

I've revamped my website.  I've added a links section with many great resources including Sad Kermit interviews, press articles, and more.  There is also a testimonials section full of kind words from fans, and as always you can still request your favorite sad song/s.

www.sadkermit.com

Love,

Sad Kermit

What ever happened to the Rainbow Disconnection?

That was my favorite song of yours!

01 - Do we perhaps have a marginal chance of seeing some new Nine Inch Nails and or Elliot Smith covers, in the near future?

Most definitely, however since I've already done two songs of both Smith and NIN, I'm going to try to give them a break for a bit and focus on other artists in order to mix it up a bit more.

02 - Do you consider yourself a big fan of these 2 artists (Elliot Smith/Nine Inch Nails), or were they simply both covered twice each, due to the chosen songs fitting your mental psyche?

Both. I'm a huge fan of Smith and NIN, and I thought the chosen songs would work well for me. My motive is to cover the most depressing songs ever written, even if that means doing multiple songs by one artist.

03 - Lastly, are their any other artists you plan on covering more than once, in the future? And do you ever plan on putting out an FFD (Free For Download) Sad Kermit album, in the forseeable future?

Probably Alice In Chains, they have a lot of sad drug songs that would fit me well. I've got a large list of requested songs that I usually refer to if I don't have anything in mind. Hallelujah was recorded because of how much it was requested. I originally had not planned to do that one.

Forgot about the 2nd part to question 3:

All of my songs are available for free download from my website, www.sadkermit.com.

Simply right-click on each song and "Save Target As" to download to your PC, iPod, etc.

Eventually I will have the album on iTunes free for download, but I need more songs before I set that up. I'd like to have 10-12 songs before I call it an album. It will be in the format of Sad Kermit - Volume I, Sad Kermit Volume II, etc., each with 10-12 songs on them.

Sad Kermit audio and video will always be free.

Although it's one of my favorite songs, it is way out of my vocal range. I may be able to transpose it to a different key, however I'm not sure if it's dark and depressing enough for me. Definitely a good idea regardless.

How about Girlfriend in a Coma? The Smiths have loads of depressing/self deprecating songs.

I must say, as a person who takes music and artwork in general very seriously, I was quite impressed when I came across your covers. I was drawn in by the sadistic humor I found in your video for Hurt, but after paying a bit more attention I've realized how very well done the music is by itself, regardless of the parody. In fact, I might even go as far as to say I've felt a stronger connection to your cover of Twilight than Smith's original version, and the same could possibly be said for Rainbow (dis)Connection. All in all, you're work is quite entertaining and I'm very much looking forward to whatever you have coming up. (personally I've thought Nutshell by Alice in Chains would be absolutely perfect since I first stumbled upon you)

Lighten up, Francis

Hello Sad Kermit. I think you are great, even if you are a little more upbeat than what I like.

Have you considered Love Will Tear Us Apart and/or Dead Souls by Joy Division? I think either one of those would be great additions to your songlist.

Ahh... a cover of a cover.... how ridiculous. Why not just do a cover of the original "Mad World" by Tears for Fears making it a Sad Kermit version....

Silly people... frogs are for pigs.
