anna is having a tough time finding a job in the fashion industry in england
because she's american and not from the EU, her potential employers have to fill out forms for her visa.
however rather than go to that much hassle, they just go for a european or english person instead
discrimination you might say?
but apperently not, if your not legal to work in the uk, then they can turn you away without a thought for your needs
anna has applied for about 50 jobs and no luck yet,
nobody is willing to fill out the forms
if anna does not find a job, she will have to return to america and the singletons as we know it will be no more....
there is a ray of hope though (not trying to pun)
they just introduced a new graduate scheme in 2007, that if you gain a 2.2 degree or above, you can get a visa for a year
she just found out about that today from her school
so fingers crossed people!!
