In a St. Louis hotel about to get packed to fly back to NY, so I only have about 15 mins, here's the best I can do:
My overall predictions record is now 77-39. I need a SOLID week to move ahead of these ESPN hacks that get paid to do this. RIght now I'm in the middle of the pack, and it feels weird. The crystal ball is having battery issues (as is my phone too - maybe somehow they are related....)
My record per week:
One - 14-2
Two - 11-5
Three - 9-7
Four - 10-4
Five - 9-5
Six - 8-6
Seven - 9-4
Eight - 8-5
Nine - ???
To show how my predictions stack up against the hired analysts at
ESPN.com, we shall compare the following numbers:
Eigsti: 77-39 (time to step up)
Allen: 73-43 (obviously doesnt know football)
Golic: 77-38 (pretty sure he reads my blog)
Hoge: 79-37 (he had a good week last week)
Jaworski: 74-34 (strange that he is such a coward with his picks)
MORTENSEN: 81-35 (takes the human lead again)
Schefter: 80-36 (strong but going down soon)
Schlereth: 78-38 (smart guy, bad predictor)
Wickersham: 75-41 (he's pretty bad at this. Stick to cricket or whatever)
Accuscore/Pick'em: 82-34 (the current leader. this is sad.....)
Well, so the 49ers didnt beat Indy last week. But they came close, didnt they? I mean, they led through 3 quarters, which is good enough for teams like the Lions at least. But I do suppose it's a 60 min game, and the 49ers just dont have enough experience with those compared to Peyton Manning, a real quarterback. Alex Smith is getting better, but I still cant really get myself to root for the guy after he's tanked my team in all sorts of ways the last handful of years. We'll see if he can win one at home against the lowly Titans, who are a bit underrated because of their crappy record.
Here's my new current correct power rankings for all 32 teams:
1. Saints
2. Colts
3. Vikings
4. Broncos
5. Patriots
6. Eagles
7. Falcons
8. Bengals
9. Steelers
10. Texans
11. Jets
12. Giants
13. Chargers
14. Packers
15. Bears
16. Cowboys
17. 49ers
18. Dolphins
19. Crapinals
20. Ravens
21. Bills
22. Panthers
23. Sea Turtles
24. Jaguars (soon to be the Los Angeles Smog)
25. Titans
26. Redskins
27. Chiefs
28. Rams
29. Raiders
30. Lions
31. Browns
32. Buccaneers
And now, we come to this week's predictions for games. I actually have a tiny tiny bit of money riding on some of these, so I took more time to examine the matchups this time and feel pretty confident this week finally, with some scores that reflect my spread:
ATLANTA FALCONS over Washington Redskins 30-14
CHICAGO BEARS over Arizona Crapinals 28-17
Baltimore Ravens over CINCINNATI BENGALS 30-28
Houston Texans over INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 29-24 ****upset of the week*****
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS over Miami Dolphins 35-20
Green Bay Packers over TAMPA BAY BUCS 21-13

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS over Tennessee Titans 31-21

That's it for this week - enjoy, and lets hope I'm actually on point this week!!!
Peace, Tay
