This is a sad day. AB are so superior to Creed in everyway...song writting, guitar leads, and most of all lead vocals. I've had the pleasure of seeing and meeting Alter Bridge three times, and they are a great live band, as well as nice guys. I'm definitely NOT going to see Creed. In fact, I may stand outside the venue with an Alter Bridge sign just to protest. Even though they say this will not affect AB, the desire to make money(ie: Creed) will certainly over come the love of music.
(ie: Alter Bridge)
 
 

I love what you said!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! But they do need to make that dough. Mark has said that is costs money to be in a band.
If I could, I'd give AB every penny I earn, which is little but we need their music!

Since then, I have discovered your work with Mayfield Four (I'm addicted to Second Skin), and Citizen Swing (compliments of Sascha). No matter what happens in your career, I will be following closely.

This is EXACTLY why Alter Bridge are the best band ever with the best band members ever. Myles you have no idea how comforting to Alter Bridge fans your announcement is! There was a lot of uncertain people today when the Creed announcement was made but you posting this has put a lot of minds at ease. I wish Brian, Mark and Flip well with the Creed tour and I cannot wait for AB 3 in the future.

You know Myles, Thank You again for coming out with this info and being honest. We needed to hear this. You are always so kind and considerate to your fans. You show your appreciation and recognition all the time. But damn I bet your kicking yourself in the ass for not going on tour with the ultimate, Led Zeppelin! I mean seriously, if the rest of the guys were just going to get stuck having to go on tour with Stapp and to write music with him, you might as well have gone on tour with Zep and gain some awsome memories.

Look, I know Mark does not read the stuff on the internet, so please let him and the rest of the guys know that we hope and pray to God that Stapp can treat them with the respect that they deserve and treat them as equals instead of treating them like they are beneath the Rock God that he thinks he is. Has anyone noticed that he still can't keep a band together? And half the shit he says that he will do never happens. 3 years ago when he was opening for INXS he said he was going on a solo world tour which never happened. He also said that he would release his new "album" Aug. 8, 2008. That day came and all he did was re-record a couple of songs and post them on myspace. "The best is yet to come" is all he can say. Well, doesn't that leave thing conveniently open and non-specific. Cause he really has no idea what he is going to do. Obviously things with him have not changed. The Creed website and what Scott Phillips and Brian and Mark are supposedly saying is making it sound like they are totally back together when I really feel/hope that they are just contractually obligated to do this shit and get it over with. By the way, why the hell is Alter Bridge not listed as a top friend of Creed's myspace yet Scott Stapp is? There are Creed fans who still have never heard of Alter Bridge and they need to come to the light and hear the amazing music of Alter Bridge. And I thought Alter Bridge was working on new material "as we speak". But how can you guys be making new Alter Bridge music and a new Creed album and a new Myles Kennedy album all at once? But it's okay because I believe what you say, Myles. I'll believe the words of every member of AB before I believe what Stapp says. Oh ya and Stapp was supposed to be working on a new solo album to be released the second quarter of this year (ya, right). But don't get me wrong...I will buy every single one of these albums and go to every concert that comes to my state. I will never miss an opportunity so see any of you in conert. All three different bands have my support but I still have my opinions and observations and concerns.

Okay, I don't really want to look like a lunatic but I had to get that out. I don't mean to offend. It's just my opinion people...just an opinion.

Thank God Alter Bridge is "here to stay" because your music is the best and you make people feel better.

I'll censor myself since there are younger people on this site, but there are VERY strong words to describe how I feel about a Creed reunion. If any of AB needs to have a reunion tour with their old band, it's Myles and The Mayfield Four.


Stapp's career was pretty much over after Creed broke up and it needs to stay that way. Myles, you are in every way superior to Stapp and Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips are 10x better in AB than they ever were in Creed now that Stapp isn't restricting their potential.


Oh well.
If anything good is coming out of this, it's the Myles Kennedy solo album! :D Can't wait to hear it!

I can't say I didn't like Creed. Back in the day, they were one of my favorite bands.


A reunion tour, I don't know if I'm for that, definately not, if it's going to change the future of Alter Bridge.


Alter Bridge is dear to my heart. The four of you have a phenominal chemistry together and you all are some of the nicest guys I have ever met.


I feel somewhat relieved in hearing there is still more to come from Alter Bridge.


MK, you are one of the best vocalist and in my eyes any music you are a part of will be awesome. Where ever you go I will follow. I am anxious to hear your record as well as the third AB record.


Thanks so much for taking the time to reassure the Alter Bridge fans who were fearing the worst and still hoping for the best.

Hey Myles! I never doubted that you guys would 'Carry On'- LOL! Give and take on all sides. Looking forward to both records- I'm sure they will masterpieces!
