dear friends...

just wanting to send you all my love from ethiopia.
all is well withe me except for my stolen mobile phone
last night...i was a victum of a classic pick
pocket...i can almost remember it happening but, the
heist was so good, i thought twice about checking on
the spot..

it's all good though...this is about the worst it gets
here, petty theivery...

so... i'm knee deep in the culture now...my amharic is
getting better, the food is getting routine (eating
with injera), and i am gaining focus on my own music
again which brings me joy.

highlights from this time include a trip out of town
to the city of axum, a visit from paul, and the
recording of my first single "other side of the world"
which we will be doing a video for soon.

another bit of excitement for me is that my mother is
coming to visit me soon.  for that, i am so happy.

god bless you all and thank you for sharing this
adventure with me.

until we meet again, here are the new photos:

peace.

The K'Alyn journey continues, cool, cool. If are willing and have the opportunity, share some new music with us. Have you done "come alive" acoustic like at the asylum for them out there? Still loving that cut. Was listening to it on the way into work today.

Awwwwww, the pics are too cute. I love the mountain pic with the 60ft rope, man I'da refused to climb that thing too. LOL I'm over here crackin up at the metro subway pin. I need to get one of those.

*sigh* Now I wanna go to Ethiopia too, I wanna be happy like you are. Shoot, people already say I look just like an ethiopian. *wonders if Ethiopia holds the key to happiness*

What a beautiful experience you are having in Ethiopia.  I look forward to listening to the "new" K'Alyn perform when you come back to DC.  =)

Strength, Courage & Wisdom... ..It's ALL me

K'Alyn,
Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventure with us here in cyberworld of your magnificent tour of Ethiopia. I am appreciative of your time to allow others to experience what it is like there. That's unfortunate that your phone was stolen, hope that you can get a replacement soon. So...your enjoying the Injera bread! That's awesome. I could eat that bread all day! There is an Ethiopian restaurant here in the Detroit area (actually Ferndale) It's called "Blue Nile" and it's absolutely my favorite place to dine - I can sit there and enjoy the ambiance and wonderful food and it's fabulous! Along with the Cinnamon tea of course! Thank you again for sharing with us, can't wait to see the video. Blessings. *Andrea*
