little gem is not dead. just been ignoring myspace. and not doing anything very productive.
for those with their ears to the ground, some touring was done with Ben Ottewell from Gomez. it proved inspiring, in that it made me think of doing some stuff. didn't really do that much though. some demos with ben. reworked stories for about the 8th time, for some reason i really want to get that tune right. also want to do some more live shows, but want to do them differently. this is proving difficult to realise. i don't want them to just be tossed off, but then i don't want to take them too seriously, as the touring with ben experience proved that the best shows happen by accident, so....
did some remixes for arctic monkeys and reverend and the makers. never got used, obviously.
spent a bit of time last year playing in The Last Shadow Puppets, which was a great experience.
my new day job is about to shit on that from a great height, however.
scary yet interesting times.
that's what's been happening in the world of little gem. that and 8-10 minute exercises in seeing how much distortion you can get into a tune.
