Hello friends and supporters!
We had a beautiful weekend for the Independence Day holiday. This weekend Jack and I went to Devils Lake.
What a beautiful morning on the Fourth! We saw at least a dozen deer along the roads driving to Devils Lake. Dan Traynor had organized a great group of enthusiatic volunteers and three IH tractors and carts - wait til you see the pictures! Dan had an old Hoeven 2000 sign that was folded and displayed on the front of the biggest tractor- I should ask Jack what the model was.
There were more than 200 entries in the 125th celebration and we were near the front of the line. It was a great crowd and long route that was filled the whole way. It ended near the park. We took a picture with the tractors and all our volunteers (Jack was still shaking hands along the route so he missed the photo op). We then had lunch at the park where they were having a free community picnic. Lots of people were back for school reunions. It is always amazing who you run into - people from all over the state.
We look forward to doing it again soon!
