Some of you guys come to almost every show BRM plays and party with us and you're basically family to the band. So I was wondering if any of you would be able to help us out with getting our music heard???

Basically, we're going to organize a Blood Root Mother Street Team that will get together on a fairly regular basis - the guys in the band will buy beer and pizza and whatever else and we'll just hang out and come up with ideas on how to get our sound and our name out there. If we have show and we need to put up flyers, it's hardly any work at all if we have a team of people working together. If you would like to be part of our street team, please let us know! It will involve more play than work :)

Secondly, we SUCK at describing our sound. People ask "What do you play?" and we just kinda look at each other like vegetables until one of us says something lame like "rock n roll". We need like a cool one-liner... something that would make someone who hasn't heard the band feel intrigued and want to listen. So we're gonna have a CONTEST. The rules are simple:

1) Come up with a sentence or a phrase that describes our sound. It must be intriguing, and unique. Ideally, it should capture the FEELING or the EXPERIENCE or the ESSENCE of BRM.

2) Submit your sentence via facebook message or wall post on the BRM page, or any of our individual pages. You can also post on the wall or send a message on myspace. We will gather them all up and keep an ongoing post on myspace and facebook.

3) Submit as many times as you want. The contest will end on June 1st. We will then vote on which one we like the most. PLEASE do not mimick a previous post...we want a blossoming of ideas, not a convergence.

4) The winner will receive a party in their honor along with $100 in delicious intoxicating beverages of your choice!!
