........
Here I am again, after some weeks of
lack.
To be honest a lack justified by a new
job, and now I'll tell you what is about. I really need a vacation
but before I leave you to this hot summer and get a bit of relax,
I'll tell you something about my projects, new and finished ones.

First step: some weeks ago I received a
new commission: six illustration for an Italian TV movie that will be
on air I suppose at the end of this year or at the latest in spring
2010, called
“Caldo
Criminale” (eng. transl.: "Criminal Heat") with
the direction of
ARES film.
The actors are
Sabrina Ferilli as the main character, and the co-star is
Gabriel Garko. I
know that probably the most part of you never heard about them
because they're really famous here in Italy, but I invite you to the
same to check them on the net, following the link on their name...for
curious people, I've found also some link on wikipedia, maybe you can
find also your language page for them: for Gabriel Garko
[http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gabriel_Garko] and for Sabrina Ferilli
[http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabrina_Ferilli]).
About the story I can only say that's a
thriller movie and that Anna (Sabrina Ferilli) is an
illustrator...and then, I make the scene: they need a real
illustrator for real pictures so they contact me and commissioned six
brand new pictures (plus one w.i.p.) and asked the permission to show
other pictures I've just done (here the list of all pictures
showed:...). And furthermore, they need also to film my hand working
on a picture, so there will be some shoots where you will see my
hands drawing or painting...to be sincere, isn't properly what I
really do when I work on a picture but there are some requirements on
stage and about filming, but I do the same my share, suggesting
something more probable. So, this brings the trivial question: “look,
they don't seem the hands of the protagonist actor, isn'it it?”.
Well...no, really they don't.
Obviously this movie will go on air
first in Italy, but they told me they purchase the movie also on
foreign countries, but really I don't know which ones, sorry.
About the movie illustrations I let you
see only a combo preview (see it here:
http://scarletgothica.deviantart.com/art/Caldo-Criminale-previews-131348237),
they will be completely showed in due course (just to arouse a bit of
curiosity). For this commission I had to do I was inspired a bit from
the main characters, so I try to put a bit of them on my picture's
characters, but they don't have to be portraits. I've taken this
decision because the illustrations showed during the movie are
related to the plot, so I liked the idea of a parallel story, into a
fairy tale. The illustrations are all completed but I still have some
scenes to film (so the stress isn't finished yet!

).
Ok, I stop here, this is only an
advance new, I'll tell you more in the near future and every picture
will have a detailed explanation, I promise!
Next step, the upcoming autumn will
bring other good news: I only anticipate that fans and lovers of my
pictures and puzzles too, will have a nice surprise...really soon
more new about that!
Next step again, do you rememberer my
old project
Terra di Chimere (if not
follow the
link)?
Well, after a long break me and the
author
of the story have decided to resume the project with some changes: I
will illustrate the whole story with my “child style”, and to
color them in digital, just to create something fresh and probably
more interesting. This time I hope to have more time to work at every
picture, we both treasure a lot this project.
Ok, I would rattle on about these
things for hours but it's time to go and I guess I've just bored
enough. So, I wish you all a very refreshing summer and see you very
soon. Keep to stay tuned for every new infos!
Bye!
Claudia
