Having just finished several pretty intense years of performing, recording and putting out the Bring the Angels Down album, I'm looking forward to a little downtime from weekly gigs and deadlines.  I've intentionally scheduled a nice little break for myself and the band here at the turn of the seasons.

Our summer club tour this year was great!  The shows we performed are shows that we're both proud of and enjoyed, mixing up the unrecorded material with a mix of music from both Shooting Ghosts and Bring the Angels Down was totally cool.  A lot of that stuff is on Youtube so feel free to check that out.  Our residency at Seamus McGhee's was a lot of fun and doing a monthly, four-hour show kept us on our toes.

But autumn is here and I'm taking a little time off for some personal changes that need some time and energy.  I've nearly moved my recording studio back from our rehearsal studio into my own, home-studio and I am looking forward to getting in some time writing, listening and being a fan again for at least little bit; I've several projects on the burners and am working on material for the next BPB album, probably for 2010 release.

I know our bassist (s) Wes Gould, EG McDaniel and Eric Hill are all immersed in solo projects and ongoing performance work.  Be sure to check them out!  Eric Hill has been doing some great work, just releasing a new CD.   EG's gigging with Jimmy Burns and lot's of the Chicago blues cats.

For the past several years, I've had the opportunity to work with Pete Nocito extensively and I can't say enough great stuff about him.  He's a great drummer, vocalist and arranger and a good friend on top of all that stuff.

Autumn is a great time of year and I'm looking forward to taking in a little time for myself and my own extended family.

Cheers all!
Peaceout,
Beazley
