What's up beautiful scrill-dills of the earth,

jaybird2kakiscapason here.

So basically Bonnaroo was, well, INSANe. At least in my mind... (?).

We left MA at about 10pm on Wednesday night and arrived in Manchester Tennessee the next evening around supper time (hee). We were greeted with open-hippied arms, and were given nice little wrist bands which identified ourselves as 'GUEST.' it seemed to be a nuisance at the time, but I learned to grow fond of it as the adventure broadened.

I suspect we'll be posting pictures and video soon, but I'll do my best to wordidize this adventure. Our campsite slept 9 at the peak of its occupancy. Me, cap, iyeoka, roland, pat, klaxtonious, j(k)im, alex, and scrilliam.

The main tent employed an amalgamation of chairs, which dotted our site like splatters of primary color inklings from exploding mulit-color pens: HA! We had about a million beers, and drank maybe be a third of them. I believe one night we consumed a brand of whiskey called Dickel. Thanks again, AL.

Our set was on the Sonic Stage, in the Center-roo village. We killed it for about 30 minutes. Here was our set (right? I am scrilled):

Sounscape Finesse
Rally
Hot Headed
Get Right
Magic Nation

Short, yes. Killing – OF COURSE!!! Just watch the video on our page. The rest is history.

After being mobbed by about 12,376 hippes, we retreated to our campsite, ate cold cuts from a plastic pouch, ate 37 skittles, and 45 kashi bars. Believe me, I counted every one.

Here is the list of bands I saw. I know others saw other things. Perhaps they will list them, too? Yes (in no particular order):

MGMT
Willie Nelson
BB King
My Morning Jacket
Metallica
Jack Johnson
MIA
Steel Train
Ozomatli
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
Chris Rock
Zappa Plays Zappa
The Fiery Furnaces
Stephen Marley

Although I would have loved to see so many more bands, at Bonnaroo it is nearly impossible, especially for a first timer like myself – OMG WTF!!!

I say that my favoritest performance was by My Morning Jacket. They played the 'WHICH' stage from 12 to 3 in the morning, which I must say is a long assed time to rock a crowd at Bonnaroo! And in the rain, might I add. But alas, they did, and they killed it!!! They played covers ranging from Sly and the Family Stone to 'Tyrone' by Erykah Badu… shit! I about cried after every tune. One in particular is called 'Thank You Too.' Just brilliant. And the light show was mesmerizing. Oh the colors, OHHHH!!!

Ok, yep

I hope to add many more experiences about the trip and beyond in the near future. For now, stay tuned for picture, video, and more blogs!!! YES!!!
