Hey Guys,

I'm getting ready to launch my new site.  Please give me your suggestions for video/written tutorials for drawing, coloring, etc.  Whatever you can come up with.  I'll pick the one most demanded, or I think will be helpful.

Hope to get everyone's feedback!

- Si

P.S.
This applies to traditional mediums as well as digital. Yes I still do things outside of the computer. :)

I would really like to get into this field. I struggle with painting. I use Photoshop (I don't have Painter). I have seen tutorials for painting before, but I have no idea on what colors to use for skin tones, how to paint hair is difficult too. There is a long list for me lol! Being color blind makes it a bit harder for me as well.
If you have any advice to as to where I could learn more, that would be great! Looking forward to your tutorials, if they are anything like your work, I know I will be expecting greatness!

I've noticed there aren't too many good vector tutorials online for illustrator. Or maybe i just haven't done enough research...

I'm no artist but I would love to have the concept of light and it's effects of shadows cast from people, places and things. I also would like to see a briefing on perspective.
For example, how can you tell where light is coming from when looking at a drawn image? Also, how does it appear one is looking down a street, or across a field when the picture is right in front of one's face?

I went to school to try and get a grip on computer generated Art...Thats frustration central! Did'nt get much from it. I still perfer the real deal. The control I have in the old way just wont translate for me. So how about a list of software & Hardware that would work for that type of Artist. Stylus? Scanner?...So thanks for asking.
And when was the last time you scraped a rainbow from under your nails? 8)

Four months ago, with my Witchblade model, I don't wear gloves when I airbrush. Both forms of art have their pros and cons, its nice to get a grasp for all in which you love that is art.

Coloring and working b/w artwork would be great tutorials. Also, the Adobe Illustrator tutorials seems to be a great idea, I can't use it properly, so I dropped it.

ahaaa!! another site eh! well...the finishing process doesnt intruegue me as much as the prelims of creating, modeling, sketches and rough drafts....perhaps a tutorial on the transition: from traditional brainstorming to the finished digital product....bada bing............also, tattoo art needs to be pushed a bit further into the digital scene, considering the importance of balance and regard to contour in pre-ink art. so id love 2 see your renditions of tattoo pop culture themed work...tutorial style!

well, a process or cycle of 'start to finish' is always interesting, though its a simple overview, you see another artist's approach to completion. [thumbnail sketch, lightbox, scanner, photoshop, etc.] Im always attracted to seeing different angles of how work is done, although there are some that still struggle with basics (but there are so manay books out there) I always search for different ways to think, and love sitting down and seeing another artists approach to life.

Hi Siya,........I'm studying Game Art and Design. I would love to see any tutorials or exercises that help with drawing/coloring speed (or tricks to make things faster). I'll be doing some object and character animation in 2D over the next few weeks and it takes me forever to draw each frame.........Anyway, love your site and all of your work!........Cheers,....Pete

I'm a little late coming into this thread as I've become an errant Myspacer *gasp* but I'd love to see a tutorial on your use of color. Particularly outside of the normal spectrum i.e. if you're painting someone in an "off" color environment (a blue person in a twilight environment for example), how do you go about your selection of highlights / shadow colors? Do you go about it formulaicly? or do you paint by "feel".....A technical tutorial would be very cool as well. Brush selections in Painter / Photoshop, preferred sensitivity/handling settings etc.....Just some off the cuff thing's I wouldn't mind "looking over your shoulder" to watch.....Thanks for your hard work, I know these sorts of things aren't exactly non-time-consuming, and we all appreciate the effort you give to us in addition to your artwork...
