Georgie James may not have been nominated for an Emmy exactly, but the NPR documentary "Project Song" featuring Georgie James was. So glad to see Bob Boilen (and his genius work on All Songs Considered) getting the recognition he so deserves. Congratulations to everyone involved in the making of the documentary -- from inception to the editing room. It was an incredible experience and an honor to be a part of this ground-breaking documentary series. Fingers crossed for a win!

Last December, as part of NPR's Project Song challenge, Georgie James entered NPR Studio 4A to write and record a song in two days based on an image and a phrase. The entire process was documented by All Songs Considered. Now NPR's Project Song documentary has been nominated for an Emmy in the Best Approach to News Documentary category.
