HERE TO STAY

You’ve pulled, you’ve tugged, you bent and almost broke,
You’ve hurt, you’ve lied, you’ve made me out to be some kind of joke.
But, I laugh at your calamity,
For you cannot break me.
I refuse to listen as you spew your venom,
I refuse to let your hate sink in.
Who are you to judge me?
You are not perfect.
You are no better than I.
I know I am strong and I know much to your dismay,
I will make it, I will be okay.
Then what do you have to write about?
What  do you have to say?
What will you have to lie about?
Britney’s here another day.
I am a fighter, I am a survivor, I am gonna win.
But you thought you’d tear me down.
You know what, who’s laughin’ now?
