Current mood: hungry
Yes. Two blogs in one. Nifty, huh?
Brandon here. Zach is too lazy to write a blog, so I am. Sooo...we are done with recording at Feverbell, and we are super thrilled about it. The guy’s name was Matt and he was pretty much the coolest guy ever. He made us feel like we’ve known him forever, and he made us feel right at home. Everything was done pretty much on time, except Shawn and Zach took forever with their instuments. lol. But I only took 40 minutes with my bass, and Matt said that was the fastest he’s ever seen. *grins* And Kelly did pretty good with her vocals. Some spots were tough but she did really good. So it’s all done and Matt has to mix and compress and stuff like that and the EP will be available hopefully in 3-4 weeks.
On to part 2 of this blog:
So, last night, I made a food run to Wal-Mart to get some pizza and pop for Zach and I. Usually both of us go, but he was talking to Nae, so he let me take his car for the first time ever. (this is an important detail) So, I get to Wal-Mart and get all of our stuff. As I’m paying for my stuff, three girls walk up to me randomly and one of them says "Hey, when’s the new EP coming out?" I was kinda shocked by this, but I just told them about the mixing and stuff and she was like "Cool. Can’t wait to hear it." I was super thrilled that a fan just recognized me out of nowhere. Makes me feel famous already. THEN, I say to the cashier, "Ah, it’s great to have fans." She says, "That’s cool. What’s the name of your band?" and I tell her, and she says "I’m gonna have to tell my daughter I met you. She’s gonna be jealous." and I say. "Oh, she knows us?" and she says "Yeah, she loves you guys."
So yeah, that was pretty much awesome. Be on the lookout for our EP in a few weeks. :)
