Good morning to you all, Hope you are all ok.
Firstly
mega thanks for last week!! Both Wednesday at the Soul Cellar and
Saturday's Halloween Bash at the Dorch were amazing and dare I say it
rather busy. Also great to have some cracking live bands last Wed' so
many thanks to Livesoc for that and see you guys soon.
The next
live acts will be on the 18th for the Mint South Showcase plus we have
the Family booked in (TBC for December 2nd) plus of course K*** and the
Gang on December 23rd.
You surpassed yourselves on Halloween
though it was so manic I forgot to give out the tickets to Ugly
Duckling. If you would like to go in the hat to win 1 of 2 tickets to
see them on 15th November at the Orange Rooms then please send me your
details ASAP.
Don't forget Nina our resident face painting
expert is back tonight at the Cellar (hopefully she has recovered from
all that hard work at the Art House on Saturday)
We are looking
to provide live music downstairs at the Soul Cellar most weeks from 8pm
so if your a promoter and want to give it a go with a couple of acts or
if you are a band and want a gig give me a shout and I'll give you all
the info.

DJ
Hammy has invited the Whiskey RockaRoller crew to rock out downstairs
at the Soul Cellar and we'll return to the decks on 4th November 2009.
We've
always loved the sounds of 60s and 70s rock. We think it should be
played loud and proud and we're sure there's a lot of you out there
that feel the same.
Led Zeppelin, The Stones, Free, Sabbath,
Purple and Hendrix are just a few of the classics that'll be hitting
the decks and although we'll play the big tunes from those decades,
we'll also throw in a few not so well known ones for your aural
pleasure. You may hear a few 70s inspired tracks too..like Wolfmother,
The Black Crowes and Howlin Rain. Oh...andAC/DC will be in there
somewhere too. (We know they're a bit more 80s but hey, we like it!)
If it becomes a regular slot we will have special guest DJs taking part in the future.
The
Missiles came from the music that we DJed at Whiskey RockaRoller and
now Whiskey RockaRoller is back courtesy of The Missiles.

On nights we have live artists we start at 8pm (doors 7.30pm)
Admission is only £2.00 up to midnight with a DJ Hammy Show flyer. Other wise it's £3.00.
Over 18 only, I.D. required, No dress restrictions but no nudies please.

ideals. I did my first night there over 11 years ago and the night
continues to grow and re-invent.
The overall playlist is a
request lead eclectic mix of 6 decades of Indie, Alternative, Punk,
Mod, Funk, Ska, Dub, Reggae, Psychedelia, Glam Rock, Brit Pop, Baggy,
Grunge, New Romantic, Rock'a'Billy, Electroclash, Industrial, Art Rock,
Alternative Country, Garage, Trash, Surf, Two Tone, Prog', Northern
Soul, Rhythmn'..n'Blues, Gothic, Metal, Post Punk, Loungcore, Guilty

of new music some you won't hear elsewhere.
