First off, I wanna apologize for not being on lately. I've been keeping myself entertained with other things, so I've neglected my..er...space. Hello to all and rivers of lust to all the women-folk. I'll contact you all individually eventually. On to the matter at hand...
As you may or may not know, pro wrestler Chris Benoit is suspected of murdering his wife Nancy(Woman in the biz) and his 7-year old son Daniel then killing himself. I say suspected because nothing is official yet(autopsy or toxicology) but it's the general consencus that he indeed murdered them. Being a wrestling fan all my life as some of you know, I respect and admire pro wrestlers. I'm not sure where I'm gonna go with this, but bear with me. I started watching Benoit when he was in ECW, a now-defunct wrestling league(I don't count WWE's bastardization). He was, in short, phenominal. He had a ring style that, while brutal, was a beauty to watch. I followed him to WCW and was pissed that he never got his proper due until it was too late.
When he came to WWE, he began to show the wrestling world at large why he was the "best damn technical wrestler in the world." He, along with another man who passed before his time Eddie Guerrero, finally became a World Champion. He was an invaluable teacher to the greenies in WWE and was a benchmark to all wrestlers who want to ply their trade to the masses. Now, he's dead, an apperant suicide with two other deaths attributed to him. One, his wife and the other, his 7-year old son. Like any other fan of the true sweet science, I'm in a state of shock and confusion. Benoit was one of my favorites of all time and I'm hurt by the apperant situation.
Then, I watched a video on YouTube(Benoit: What Non-fans don't understand, I believe) that hit the nail on the head. Check it out. Then, I read the comments of a lot of people after and began to get angry. So, here's a paragraph for all you non-fans who are quick to jump on the hater bandwagon....
Fuck you. Fuck you and anyone who thinks like you. Fuck everyone associated with you, you hypocritical pieces of shit! So quick to make judgements on wrestlers and fans because of one freak occurance. Everything's not even out in the open yet and you fuckin' lunatics are out there throwing your two-cents worth in like you know what the fuck's going on! "Steroids! It had to be the steroids! All those oily freaks are on them and they deserve what happens!" FUCK YOU PEOPLE!! Are drugs and/or steroids a problem in wrestling? I think yes, but that's another disscussion. You fuckin' turds are taking a bonefide tragedy and turning into a Goddamn witch-hunt against pro wrestling! I've had the absolute honor and privledge to be a part of this business and I've met all sorts of people, some pricks, some idiots, a lot of good friends and a whole lot of fun. You fucking marks and that's what you are, marks have no clue what wrestlers go through to put food on their table and to entertain people who come to see. You sons-of-bitches don't get it and you won't because it's to low-brow for you. You, the exact same fuckin' people who glorified OJ's shit, elected a fucking moron into the presidency, and support a war that's only good for getting our own fuckin' people killed! But we're the psychos and barbarians! I don't condone murder, especially the murder of a 7-year old, but the simple fact is no one knows the whys and wherefores and no one should judge, especially psuedo-moralistic cock-suckers like you! In closing, I'd like to say that I'm not addressing the general public. You know who you fuckin' people are! Also, a lot of people, even those in the know may not agree with me and that's fine. We all have the rights to our opinions. I'm just expressing mine. My condolonses to the entire Benoit family for this senseless tragedy. One final note, to Chris Benoit. If this proves to be your doing, then damn you for putting all of us through this. But, by God, I'll still remember you as one of the best ever in the squared circle because you were....murderer or not.
