aloha...

some of you know my sister andreja, some don't,
and,,some of you know that she had an ugly accident
before couple of months,when she fractured her knee
really bad.
when i say,really bad I'MEAN REALLY BAD!,,,

after a bunch of problems in the beginning of all
this,,regarding not immediate medical help,,some
problems with the social/health insurance,,and her
living alone with a dog without a steady job,,, 
a lot of people
from her hometown(ZAGREB-CROATIA)rushed in to help,in
any way they can!,,

when the doctors said that she'll not walk for a
while,,, help was not only needed in the shape of
taking care of her at home (in every way
possible!),but also in financial regard,, special
protesses for the leg was needed as well as other
medical necessaries,,.
money started to be collected from friends and the
first benefit (BENNEN-FEET) concert was organized back
in zagreb by some great people and with some great
acts!.

today,,after some months she is very slowly recovering
needing all the rehabilitation time possible from the
nearest rehabilitation center close to zagreb.
the problem is that she got only couple of weeks
approved from the social security to be there,,and it
is very obvious that she needs more than that,,,and
much more then the other(again only?)next 2 weeks that
they just recently approved for her,,after lot's and
lot's of hustle with dealing with them and their
bureaucracy,,and waiting for a long time to get their
"positive" response,,
(regardless of all the proofs from her doctors
that she REALLY needs it)
by the way,,,she still does not
know,,when exactly can she go there,,.
well,,yeah,,naturally that she can take this in own
hands say F... YOU ALL and pay for her self,,but the
costs of one day being in this center are around 50
euros,,not that this center is something exclusive
trust me,,,
so at this moment as you can understand it is pretty
impossible for her to pay this from her pocket.
during all this she found out about some serious
problems with her blood,,and yeah,,,hmm?,,,you can say
,,but that's another story,,and it is,,but
unfortunately that story is just another rock on her
road to recovery,,(and also this was in some terribly
weird way influenced by the accident) and here we can
not really help a lot,,except for hoping that in the
end results will get better,,,.

it took some time,,, but i finally managed (with the
help of some other good people around) to organize a
BENEFIT evening/concert for her, 
here in amsterdam,,,a second
one,,,if you will,,cause as i mentioned before, the
first one was organized back in zagreb,,,
it's not of course that the help is collected only for
her rehabilitation in a suitable center,,but also just
for a "normal" daily life until literary she can get
up on her feet!.

interesting fact is that without planning,,this turned
out to be a date exactly 5 months from her accident,,.

andreja is living now in zagreb,,but she lived in
amsterdam in 90's, where she was also a part of more
or less known musical groups "PINK NOISE QUARTET" and
"CUL DE SAC",,,
after amsterdam she moved to ireland,,then tried some
other places before she finaly settled down (again-
and for the time being,,,)in zagreb where she is
continuing  
her musical and theatre performance arts.

help until now and in the future.

but still the beauty is that there are still people
who not just care,help or love you....
there is still nobility in this world... which i hope
will never disappear.....

The world can be neither perfect nor doomed. But it
can be better. And the people who get to decide if
it's going to be better or not are the people who show
up and raise their voices".
