Many years ago there was a band called "
Blisters" and they played
volatile, raw and emotional music for the weird guy that comes to gigs,
gets drunk and annoys everyone.
The music was so volatile, raw and emotional that the band broke up ON
STAGE in the middle of a European tour. The public thought that maybe it
was part of the show and clapped enthusiastically
while the band members
insulted each other and threw things around the place.
Guess what.. We are back again and just as volatile, raw and emotional as
before. We haven't grown up at all.
There are a couple of opportunities to watch us break up in public again.
You know you love to see a fight!

Dear friends,
Between 1998 and 2000 the energetic and innovative Amsterdam noiserock trio BLISTERS existed.
Two albums, two tours, a series of explosive gigs, and then it was over.
Earlier this year, Blisters reunited and on october 15th the first concert will appear.
This great event will happen in Volta, Amsterdam.
The first virginal concert after so many years is of course a special occasion, which you dont want to miss.
The line up is still unchanged with Razorblade Jr on guitar and
vocals, Danny O'really on guitar and occasional screaming, and Marc
Hurkmans alias Don Marco on drums and backing vocals.
Blisters will serve a special bouquet tonight of six songs from
the past and two golden new ones of which one actually echoes a piece
on their second album, Three Wounds for Everyone.
October 15th will be completed with the Amsterdam noiseband FATNECK.

LOCATIONS AND STUFF
Volta can still be found across the main entrance of Westerpark, in Amsterdam.
Bus 21 en 18, and tram number 3, from Central Station. Stop at Haarlemmerplein.
Walk across the water, and Volta (if not exploded already) is at the right side.
With car: take sideturn S103 and drive till Nassaukade/Haarlemmerweg.
Take a left at the lights, and in the curve is Volta. You have to
pay parking shit until 12 oclock (and it will become 12 o'clock...)

Beste mensen,
Tussen 1999 en 2001 existeerde in Amsterdam het trio
Blisters. Zeer energieke, innovatieve noiserock van Razorblade Jr
(gitaar en zang), Danny OReally (gitaar and occasional yelling) en
Marc Hurkmans alias Don Marco (drums en backing vocals).
Blisters is dit jaar heropgericht. Fijn voor al degenen die de band
nog kennen van toen. En wellicht te gek voor wie toe is aan een
verrassende, zinneprikkelende, en niet te vergeten oorverdovende
audio- injectie.
Ja BLISTERS is weer bij elkaar en het eerste concert is op donderdag
15 oktober in Volta, Amsterdam. Laat deze unieke gelegenheid niet
voorbijgaan. Goed, er zullen nog vele concerten volgen voor een
eventuele herkansing, maar zo'n eerste keer is altijd een beetje
speciaal, ook voor de jongens in de band zelf. Spannend? Jazeker.
Zullen de vonken overslaan?
Blisters speelt samen met het Amsterdamse Fatneck.
Zowel Blisters als Fatneck hebben een profiel op myspace, zodat U in
alle rust alvast de teksten kunt meebleren.
ROUTE
Zaal Volta ligt in Amsterdam. Amsterdam ligt in Europa.
Volta is goed bereikbaar. Met de fiets of lopend hoef je alleen maar
naar het Westerpark te gaan en Volta ligt dan tegenover de hoofdingang
van het Westerpark.
Per openbaar vervoer:
Neem buslijn 22 of 18 vanaf het Centraal station of tramlijn 3 vanaf
station Muiderpoort. Stap uit op het Haarlemmerplein en steek daar het
water over achter de grote Romeinse poort. Rechts zie je dan al meteen
Volta.
Met de auto:
kun je het beste de ring afgaan bij Sloterdijk (afslag S 103) en dan
doorrijden tot de kruising Nassaukade/Haarlemmerweg waar het
standbeeld van Domela Nieuwenhuis staat. Ga hier naar links en in de
bocht ligt Volta. Er is wel betaald parkeren tot 12 uur 's avonds.Met
de fiets of lopend hoef je alleen maar naar het Westerpark te fietsen
en Volta ligt dan tegenover de hoofdingang van het Westerpark.
