Roger Holzheimer: Rough Hewn Heart
Az énekes-dalszerző-gitáros, Roger Holzheimer új albuma, a Roug Hewn Heart kinyilvánítottan is a 30 feletti korosztálynak szól. Ugyanis a repertoárban szereplő számok (vagy inkább balladák) megértéséhez már szükség van egy mélyebb élettapasztalatra.
A lemezen 11 dal kapott helyet – valamennyi Holzheimer saját szerzeménye. Az általa írt dalok mindegyikét személyes élmények és tapasztalatok hívták életre. Műveiben éppúgy jelen van a múltidézés (pl. a Younger, az ’57 Chevy és a Ghost Of Kerouac), mint a kortalan üzenetek megfogalmazása.
Az albumot egyértelműen a líra „uralja”, amely olyan lenyűgöző felvételek formájában ölt testet, mint az I Saw You, a Your Window, a Right Woman Wrong Time és az Everything You Were.
A komponista érezhetően szem előtt tartotta az alapigazságot, mely szerint minél 
hosszabb egy szófolyam, annál kisebb az egyes szavak fontossága. A szavak számának csökkentésével azok súlya is megnő…
Holzheimer áradó, lebegő, történetmesélő gitárjátéka kiválóan emeli ki a kevesebb szóval elmondott üzeneteinek a lényegét.
