You know...in show business you have to use a lot superlatives, alliterative adjectives and verbose verbiage (see what I mean) to get noticed. So, it's real nice when a respected and self-proclaimed "curmudgeonly" newspaper gives accolades and a "Best Of" title that you can call your own. This "Best Burlesque" category is brand new too, a first for Baltimore. THANKS, CITY PAPER! Check it out below...

BALTIMORE CITY PAPER's Best of Baltimore 2007 Arts and Entertainment Winners BEST BURLESQUE: Trixie Little And The Evil Hate Monkey
As of this writing, Trixie Little is departing Baltimore for a while, leaving us temporarily without a Burlesque Superhero. Luckily, she's taking her arch nemesis/best friend, the Evil Hate Monkey with her, and they're headed up to some kind of secret training camp in New England (OK, it's a circus school in Vermont). When they get back in December, we're looking forward to even more fancy high-flying acrobatic mustachioed pasty-wearing funny sexy shtick--and that's just from the monkey.
Nice photo by the infamous Sam Holden too! http://www.citypaper.com/bob/story.asp?id=14475
