Happy October!
What a marvellous month it is. Full of blustery winds and emptying skies ready for broomsticks! I'm quite knarked about Halloween this year actually because I said to my friend who I've known since I was 4 and who I haven't seen in a while because we live in different cities "hey do you want to hang out on halloween? Like old times, we can watch scary films etc?" and she came back with "no offence but I don't really want to be around you that day because you scare me" and totally turned me down!
Too scary for Halloween?! I'm stunned.
Oooh hang on I'm totally going to have to pause this whilst I go watch Coronation Street (errrr how good is it at the moment?!)

OK and I'm back. Gosh, I really think Rosie must have to be the key to leading to Tony for the murder of Liam cos she's the only one who knew about the affair, right? That's if John will ever let her out of the attic though!

Right anyway, so this month has been totally fun. Living in Manchester continues to be the bestest. I love cycling all around south Manchester to Chorlton and Didsbury via the bank of the Mersey and sometimes through the southern cemetary. It's got some ridiculously gothic headstones in there and also this crazy bird feeding lady. I was riding through one day when I saw her bringing her bags of bird seed and I sort of hid behind a big tombstone whilst watching her as she started throwing the seed at this central monument, but like REALLY hard! As if she was really angry with the monument and as if it were really cathartic or something. Nuts.
Much as I love Manc it was quite nice to back in London last week actually because my friends The Official Secrets Act are recording their debut album down there and they asked me to come and sing some sings on their songs. They were in Konk in Crouch End which is Ray Davies' studio and it soooo good. Full of STUFF. They are such nice lads too and they're all super-talented with their multi-instrumental and choirboy-voice abilities. Their record sounds GREAT and I'm really excited for when it comes out next year. Keep your eye on them.

Anyway right, what I'm actually here to tell you about is the new song I've put up called BLINDFOLDED. It's all about trying to make something great happen and not having a clue where anything leads and how decisions will actually affect you and turn things out. About having to just sit back and pull some pints for a bit whilst you try and get your head together and sort of walking backwards through life or .... blindfolded if you will!
It's not hard to work out what very famous Beatles song I took inspiration from in certain parts... and Kate Bush and even Stevie Wonder sort of boogie piano played a big part.

By the way I totally went to go and see Stevie in concert (2nd row shiah!) the other week and it was totally the most amazing bestest mind blowing thing ever ever ever. I pretty much expected it to be but it even exceeded those expectations.
I also want to remind you that the shows for the London and Manchester dates in January are going to sell out so please book early if you want to come. They are gonna be good nights cos they're sort of party nights for the single release and I've got some pretty amazing people playing / speaking on them too and I'll announce them just as soon as they're totally confirmed.
YOU CAN BUY TICKETS HERE
In the meantime, we're just finishing up mixing a brand new song which I'll put up here in a few days.... and think! By then we might know what on earth John is going to do about Rosie Webster! Eeeeeeeee. Too exciting!
