The cg is looking really slick now, you were right about changing it (even though I liked the original pencils a lot too). The action scenes here are a little hit and miss. Sometimes the action flows like water, especially when Madison flips and shoots and when she's drawing her sword (love the homae to twenty eight days later). The start of the fight is a little stalted though and I don't know how best to describe why (I'm useless at concrit, hey?). Anyway, have you ever read sin city? It has such a cinematic approach to action that I think it'd be worth reading. Especially the one where the guy gets hit with a hallucinogen and keeps seeing one of his army buddies as an attractive woman. Comedy gold.

Yay! More Rocksalt!

Yay! A myspace comment! :D

Yeah, I'm happier with the look too, now. Although I'll be tweaking it so it's all a little more subtle post chapter 9. Someone brought up the point that the texture leads the reader to think the story is set in the past which is probably a fair call.

I'm not particularly good at action. But I really don't like action in comics where it just seems to be a collection of spectacular still shots with no real flow to it. So I'm really trying to make things clear and the progression obvious even if it's at the expense of big and cooly detailed drawings. There are a few things I'd do differently if I was the sort to be bothered to fix stuff up, but overall I was pretty happy with it. With the exception of the end of the fight which has pretty much unaimously led to confusion :D Nicely spotted with the 28 Days reference :D That was one of the coolest parts of the movie when the camera slowly revealed that on wall.

Haven't read Sin City. Always meant to. Really really liked the movie and since Miller was involved I'm assuming it was a pretty acurate representation of what the comics are like.
