dear patrons/patronizers(?)

2007 was a fun year for us blue lighters...There were a lot of things we did this year that made us happy.  here's a rundown of things that made us smile:

1) playing with Red Martian and Joy Wants Eternity on the same bill at the Comet in early January (we got written up in both local weeklies for this show!!!).

2) playing a Velvet Underground tribute benefit at the Crocodile (RIP) in January 07!!! we played "we're gonna have a real good time together" and "lisa says"

3)WestCoast Tour, aka Tour Schmour.  especially sharing the stage with Fake French and Echodrone in San Francisco's Make Out Room.

4) playing noise for the needy and sharing the stage with C'est La Mort for the first time and Marble Faun for the last.

5) Playing Guilty Pleasure's cover night with Aaron Hoff (Arbitron) on the drums...we covered Abba's "S.O.S" and The Outfield's "Your Love"

6) meeting the Hungry Pines kids and playing the High Dive with 'em in the Summertime.

7) finally sharing the stage with Black Nite Crash at the Comet

8) Dressing up for Halloween as the Velvet Underground...played "Femme Fatale," "I'll Be Your Mirror" and "What Goes On"...met some new friends and had a blast.

9) Opened for Fog from Minneapolis, MN...last time playing the Crocodile (Nov 07...RIP).

10) Ended the year like we started it:  Played with two awesome local bands.  this time it was the mighty Arbitron and the Curious Mystery!!!

2008 will be the year of bluelightcurtain according to Lord Ridley Cornsyrup.  also according to LRC 2006 and 2007 were the years of blc too...that's why he's our number one fanatic!
