Tim Kellett, who a lot of you will remember from early Simply Red days, is running the 'Yorkshireman' Marathon in Haworth on the 13th of September to try and raise some cash for Cancer Research UK.
He is doing this because his sister Ann died very suddenly last year from cancer. She was only 46.
Tim says "It was a huge shock to us all to find out that Ann had been suffering, unbeknown to her, for a long time with cancer. Ann was a massive Simply Red fan and I know was always very proud and excited that her brother was in the band... it would have thrilled her no end to think that Simply Red fans were supporting this cause!"

oh so sad to hear Tims sister died of Cancer, Tim played a huge part in Simply Red in the earlier days...I will definately donate something... I hope he has a good run...Gaye Ambler-Smith x
