Sonic Youth’s 1998 noise opus ‘Silver Sessions’ is back in print after
a
lenghty absence. As Thurston describes in the liner notes: “(we)
turned
every amp we owned on to 10+ and leaned as many guitars and basses we
could
plug in against them and they roared/HOWLED like airplanes burning over
the
pacific” This reissue comes in a handsome mylar reflective jacket.
‘Silver Sessions’ is available on disk and also for direct download from
the
sonicyouth.com store. Also now available for download from the store
are
some EP’s: the SYR series, TV Shit, & Master-Dik. All are available
as
DRM-free lossless files. Look for some out-of-print ‘official’ bootlegs
to
