The doors will open at 8pm with music from Dj Seven of Nevada City's own- Purefiyah Sound. Tickets are being sold at local retailers- The Record Connection and The Briar Patch Community Market at 17$ pre-sale, door price will be 20$.  Food vendors will be selling local organic dinners and snacks and clothing and craft vendors such as Pure anywear will have their goods for sale as well.  This is an all ages event and famIlies are encouraged to come and enjoy the fun. ROCKER T- Rocker-T, the internationally-renowned, ground-breaking, and award-winning Reggae and World Music recording artist originally hails from Brooklyn, New York and now resides in Oakland, California, was an integral part of the formation of the New York City Ska scene in the 1980's and is one of the founding talents in the creation of the New York City Dancehall/Ragga Hip Hop scene in the early 1990's.   He is a gifted multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, DJ, performer, producer, MC, and his innovative and dynamic musical style of singing and chanting. STEVIE CULTURE-   Stevie Culture is a huge factor in the forwarding of cutting edge Reggae music coming out of Jamaica. Born August 2, 1973 as Steffen Jones, Stevie grew up in a musically inclined family from Lacovia, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. His father, Jah Lenks (Lloyd Jones) was the lead singer of the band- 12 Tribes of Israel. He is a well know musician around the Jamaican musical community and is also a studio musician, playing keys on the Itals new album "Me Livity".  He not only produces the most exciting groundbreaking riddims heard anywhere, he was the lead singer and drummer for the famous "SANE" band, and toured with Tony Rebel, Everton Blender & Utan Green. Three years later Ishi and his mother relocated to California. It didn’t take long for a few Bob Marley, Black Uhuru, and Third World albums to take effect on young Dube; he’s said to have made up his own reggae lyrics by the age of three! Now Ishi Dube exploding on to the scene, blending messages genuine roots reggae sound with a contemporary dancehall edge to the reggae community everywhere.
