Sorry it's taken a while to post these photos, but life's gotten in the way. We were gearing up to play Bottom of the Hill this past Friday and that kinda took over. That was a great show - our first Friday night there and got to play with some fantastic local youngens, Two Seconds and the Audiophiles. I learned a lot by watching both. Big ups to fantastic drummers in both bands, and great vocal harmonies in both.

Oh, right, back to the original purpose of this post: we got to open for Ben Harper at the Independent a couple weeks ago! It was totally sold out, 500 people, and the crowd really dug our set. Definitely a top five kind of night. They have a fantastic sound system, and I could actually hear myself sing and could hear the rest of the band. What a difference that makes! Hope we get to play there again, though I was a little put off when they initially tried to not pay us a dime later that night! The next day they agreed to give us a hundred bucks, which, incidentally, is what Patsy Cline paid Willie Nelson for "Crazy." I guess it's just as well none of us had to sleep with anyone to get the gig.

Our very talented friend Sol Gutierrez took some fantastic pics of our set, and I finally posted them. To check them out, go to 'our photos' and click on 'the independent' gallery at bottom.

What a great slot! I work there as one of the sound guys, wish I had known you were there. Hope all is well, take a minute to check out the new record please.
We still need to do an acoustic show together, I miss you brother, can't wait to hear the new stuff! Cheers!
