Thanks to all my friends for the input. You helped me clarify what was making me so crazy. The agencies and casino do what they do. I realize that I'm not being treated any different than any other band out there. But the system is set up so that you have to morph into all these crazy things to keep working. I still love music enough that I just want to be in it. I love going to jam sessions and still feel that there is so much music out there that I haven't experienced yet. It's hard for me to relate to the musicians who only want to play for the right amount of money. I want to sell the product that we've put together as a band at the best price the market will bear. Thats business- not music. I can't get enough of the music itself. I am sure that I have lots to learn yet about music. I am sure that I will continue to find new and exciting things to love about music. Meeting new people with new approaches and styles will keep me going to jams. I'm gonna keep singing til some one makes me stop. Getting paid to do it is a whole other story. :)
