I have posted a few of the images taken at Maila's funeral in the pictures section and will post a more extensive journal entry about it at a later time.

Photographer Angelina Starkey took the photographs and was not only a dear friend of Maila's but a well known photographer known for her work in New Orleans. Angelina has a lot of experience shooting these kind of events and did a stunning job.

The photographs, in true New Orleans style do not cover the chapel service but cover the procession and graveside. It seems a bit odd photographing the event as it was so personal and so private but we wanted to make sure that people could have a view into her last moments....

I know many people couldn't make it for many reasons. We will be having a public service for her in the near future and I will keep you all in the loop as to when that is.
