The Fire Resistance Benefit @ The Mount D. Hotel was a triumph! What a huge day of music and goodwill. These days, the only time we see so many friends and colleagues all together seems to be @ funerals, so it was great to have everyone under the one roof and groovin'. This selfless benefit has managed to raise a few thousand dollars for our local CFA crews, and it was fantastic to be a part of it. Our set was very well received, and we sold a few CDs into the bargain, before Andy Cowan and his band played a crackin' set which brought the house down. The wunnerful Janette Geri presented a shining performance which hushed the crowd, Phil Manning was a revelation as he told stories, played and sang through his set. It was also great to see Phil Smith's old band Wild Turkey back @ the Mount D. after 11 years. 11 years? What's going on?
Huge kudos must go to Mr. Alex Legg for organising us all and playing a blistering set of songs himself, and to all @ The Mount D. Well Done everybody!
