Kevin Cormack has contributed to a project called '101 Things To Do With A Dead Artist' curated by sound artist (and London Sinfonietta's Culture Collective member) Benji Fox.The remit (given to 10 different sound artists/musicians) was to create a composition using- or inspired by- the voice of a dead artist.Kevin chose Ingmar Bergman and created a piece entitled 'Ingmar's Projector', using extracts from interviews with the Swedish film director, which you can hear on Half Cousin's myspace jukebox. The other contributors to the project were Cathy Lane, William Huckerby, J. Milo Taylor, La Horrox, Throwing Shapes Away, Egg Salad Studio, David Ramage, Toot! and Example Agent, with reinterpretations of recordings by Leadbelly, Moondog, Jackson Pollock and others...A CD of the project is available, accompanied by a beautifully produced booklet, illustrated by Matt Hunt, with notes from each of the contributors explaining the inspiration behind their choices and the musical processes involved. To purchase the booklet/CD, or for more information, you can contact Benji Fox at www.myspace.com/101thingstodowithadeadartist
