Hello all, hope you enjoyed reading our last blog entry; as mentioned in there, we have a new addition to our catalogue of festive tunes, in the form of 'Mistletoe Misadventure'. Penned and sung by our drummer James (who made his Flyers vocal debut on last year's Christmas track), the song can be found on our favourite festive CD 'A Very Cherry Christmas' on Cherryade Records. The album is the fifth volume in the Very Cherry Christmas series, and is released on November 15th (that's a week Monday).
Rachael and the Cherryade team have gone all out this year and A Very Cherry Christmas will be available not only on their website, but also in the shops too. However, if you buy it from the Cherryade website, you can pick up all five volumes for a mere 18 quid! We're on Volume 3 (with 'Diamond White Christmas) and Volume 4 (with Perfect Christmas Snow (Perfect Christmas Kiss)) if you need a further reason to buy. If you're saving your pennies for your Christmas shopping, you find these two songs on our digital-only EP 'Merry Christmas From The Gresham Flyers' which is available at iTunes, eMusic and aMazon.

Mistletoe Misadventure itself is a work of brilliance, and pushes our musical boundaries out a bit further by featuring a festive-sounding brass band, as well as the usual epic qualities that you'll know from our last two Christmas songs. Not only that, but James's vocal is spectacular, and it's brilliant to have him as a third vocalist alongside John and Sharon. You'll be hearing more from James in the new year as he sings a song called Troopy on our upcoming EP, and our soon-to-be released cover of Pablo Picasso, which you can hear on our MySpace player.
We're pretty much done with gigging for 2009, but with the new EP coming out in 2010, there's plans afoot to spread the Flyers gospel as far as we can. As always, if you want to put us on, or want us to play in your town, get in touch!
