Hey Guys! Here is one of the first UK reviews of Timbre from Rock Realms!!

"What image does a band called 'Noxious' generate in your mind? To me, the name says volcanically loud, lyrics straight from Beelzebub's clackervalve and an attitude you could put in the tip of a missile and call a warhead.

Noxious, on this album at least, couldn't be any further from that particular description if they strapped a jet engine to a dragster and drove down the Pan-American highway. They are soulfully bluesy, acoustically contemporary and as softly thought-provoking as a mild famine. Think Black Stone Cherry during a power cut, or Creedence Clearwater Revival having an understated adrenaline rush.

Just to confuse matters, Noxious normally sound like a fusion of Alice In Chains and Soundgarden...

Timbre is a Noxious' 3rd LP, and contains six re-hashed versions of songs from previous albums, and four completely new tracks. There's a fantastic vibe to the album, and it really does what it does with aplomb. Singer Hans Wenzel has a voice oozing with character and passion. His intricate South Carolina drawl is compulsive listening. The combination of genteel guitars, hazy drums, serene bass and harmonica makes Timbre as chilled as an ice bucket on a late summer's eve.

'Broken' epitomises everything the record offers in a few short minutes. There's a melancholy feel to the track, but it refuses to fade until you have a warm sensation inside. 'Wake up Call' has a strong chorus structure that sounds so familiar so quickly it'll make you swear you heard the song when you were a kid.

The music is beautifully crafted and boasts a mesmerisingly stunning production. Noxious have produced something truly sublime, and you'll love to hear it again and again.

But... Whether this is an album you'll want to sit down and actually 'listen to' is open for debate."
