Just on a lighter note yesterday at work was the weirdest day I've ever had in the business I work in.
This is saying a lot because I work as a set electrician in the motion picture biz and weird things cross my step everyday, like Bill Bellamy line dancing to "Cat scratch Fever" while John Doe from X watches or John Rhys Davies (Sallah from Indiana Jones) plays bagpipes by the batcave at midnight.
Yesterday topped all that.
I work on "My Name is Earl" we are on season 3 and by far it has been the best situation for me everybody is funny and cool and the shows are a laugh. The episode we just shot was called "Creative Writing" it's the 3rd shot but will air in a later order. Each of the main characters gets a fantasy sequence, Darnell has an R&B song about cooking crabs, Catalina has a telenovela fantasy called "Lady of a thousand tears" and Randy has a superhero fantasy.
This is where it gets weird (est). Randy is a super hero, his sidekick is H.R. Puffinstuff and he has an orangutan named "Richard" who drives and El Camino. They rescue Earl and Catalina from the evil clutches of Mr. Horn (the unicorn boy from season two circus freak episode) and a host ninja.
Yes, HR Puffinstuff fights ninja!
The guy who played HR in the show is still doing it so it was the original HR! Marty Krofft was there too! A very nice down to earth guy, who insisted I call him Marty, assured me that the big movie version of "Land of the Lost" will, and I quote, "make the fans very happy". He also said John C. Reiley was in line to do the movie.
So now I can say the weirdest thing I've seen at work is HR Puffinstuff fighting ninja in the Crab Shack with Jason Lee.
I have no idea on how this can be topped.
one last thing also, the collective I work with "Supermassive" has just opened it's website. We should have some of the webcomic I write "Monsters with Beverages" up among other things. IF you get a chance check it out and let me know what you think

It's still bare bones but you'll enjoy it.
