Hello Friends,
We know we've been quiet for quite some time, and the truth is that
writing and recording music has become something increasingly difficult
for us to do together. Life is constantly tugging us in different
directions, but in the end, creating together as friends and as
brothers is still worth striving for. Our current circumstances
obliterate the importance of timely releases, of manic promotion, and,
unfortunately, regular touring. But we carry on, the best we can, doing
what we do when it is possible. I am hopeful that will never change.
On our last tour, our good friend Nicholas Kleczewski was able to
capture on film what was, in many ways, the end of an era for us. We
had all moved away from California, most of us were in different parts
of the country, doing various things. We got together that summer to
play some shows and record some songs, knowing that this was the end of
something that had been profoundly important to every one of us.The
film captures that simultaneous process of celebrating everything that
has been, while mourning everything that will be lost. I think our
music has always been about both of those experiences, so we hope that
you enjoy what will ideally be an unusual surprise, a different
expression of us and our music, as we carry on the best we can.
The film is called "On A Carousel of Sound, We Go Round," a
full-length feature film documenting the band the last time we were all
together. It's premiering at the Louisville International Festival of
Film this Friday, Oct 2nd at 9:45 PM. Members from the band and
Nicholas will be at the screening. More info and tickets can be found

We're packaging the DVD together with a 14 song CD of b-sides and newer
recordings, and we're releasing the two-disc set on October 13th
exclusively through our webstore.
