don't forget to comment about the spammers in the chatrooms.

There's been a LOT of spammers making an account with the display name "MySpace Messaging whispers" which, if you're unfamiliar with the chat rooms, would appear to the users as if "myspace messaging" is sending a private message or "whisper" to you in the chatroom.

In the past week over 40 have been removed, and they continue to make more, on average 4 per day.

I have been getting e-mails in my hotmail account inviting me to Myspace and then I get these addresses for MSM Messenger and its really just a bot trying to get some people to view her webcam. jane21beach@hotmail.com, like this girl. I had a great chat with her

Being a multiple personality on myspace (and maybe for real),got tuns of 419 spam scam stuff,this week....
Wish i had the time to do this,but there are geeks out there who play the crims for fun,getting them to pose for pics you would not believe,in one case,even re-enact the Monty python Parrot sketch....and mail the tape to a Mr. "Eric Idle,Attorny-at-law".

there are also tons of spammers on featured myspace videos that have high traffic. the accounts are a fake 'tom' account and offer a way for parents to view private pages, among other retarded ploys.
atleast they started putting a spam button within every comment box on videos.
i think that everyone should take a few minutes and flag as many of those fake accounts as they can, but who knows if that will help. its actually quite quick to flag a bunch of them in a short time.

ive been tellin people for a while not to trust URLs. ive seen the dot CN domain for probably 3 months now or so...

i think one thing that those less skilled with the interwebs need to realize is that they are almost never going to get logged out of myspace and that if they are asked to log back in, that they should go just to plain ol' www.myspace.com and it probably wont even have the login box anyways...

symantec is worthless anyways, too bad theyve gotten everyone to brainwash those previously mentioned people less skilled in the interwebs that symantec is necessary.

I've ran into more crap phishing asshats since msplinks was implimented..:/ In fact, I've had better luck filtering through urls when I can actually READ what I'm clicking on. Wth are these morons thinking?! *rme*

Thank you for this! It's a pain... I've seen them all over my friends comments, but they don't check them out! Are these "friends" being hacked or are they the ones who accept all invites? They are the ones who are collectors all right!

There's a new way(at least it's new to me) the spammers are reaching out. They set up a legit looking profile and then say 'I dont check this very often, so get me on my Yahoo screen name at xxxxx'. Then they run bots to join mass amounts of groups in hopes that some dumbass will send a message to that name on Yahoo, who'll then be directed to some dating or a porn site. They do this of course, by being listed at the top where all new people are listed.....Here's a few that have joined the groups I'm in. Notice how they're all online as well?
