Richard Ashcroft Album on the Way

Ex-Verve front man Richard Ashcroft has set the date for his first solo album since 2002 “Keys To The Worldâ€.
The album is his first on Parlophone records and will be released on February 5th, with debut single “Break The Night With Colour†hitting Aussie radio on January 9th. Ashcroft’s biggest hit with The Verve, “Bittersweet Symphony,†sampled The Rolling Stones classic “The Last Time†without permission – The Verve subsequently received zero revenue for the track.
As a solo artist however critics have sung Ashcroft’s praises, and he has even won the adoration of Coldplay’s Chris Martin. He teamed up with past collaborator and producer Chris Potter once more for the recording of “Keys To The Worldâ€, which took place in London.
