A little note to say thanks for everyone who helped us out on tour (promoters, Shawn from Natural Sound, friends for helping us lift gear) and to those who came to the shows! We had a great few days, and it was brilliant to finally hit the road with Pensioner, Dundee's finest without question! They are a super bunch of guys...it was an absolute pleasure to tour with them.
However, in true rock 'n' roll style (or at least what I imagine to be rock 'n' roll?!), there were a couple of mishaps:
Unfortunately the Perth gig was cancelled at the last minute due to the promoter going A.W.O.L and the venue not having enough staff, so sorry to anyone who turned up to see us. I absolutely promise that we will make it up to you!
Secondly, if anyone paid a little visit to Drouthy Neebors on Saturday night to see
ourselves, Bronto Skylift and Pensioner, they may have noticed that none of the
bands actually played there!! Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that the
venue had double booked itself. Apologies to anyone who turned up there!
So, with the aid of our good friend Shawn Lee (for
providing a PA at a minutes notice) and the Pensioner fellows, we drove
around Dundee in our trusty van trying to find an alternative rock
spot. Eventually we
happened across an awesome wee venue called Underground. They very
kindly
agreed to let ourselves and Pensioner have the place for 2 hours.
Thanks to them for being so relaxed and accommodating! So we set up,
played a good few numbers, sold some EPs and travelled home safely. Again thanks to everyone who helped out that night, and to those
who came along to see us, it ended up being a great gig. It is a huge shame
that Bronto didn’t get to play...I do hope we get another chance to share a
bill with them.
Anyway thats enough from us! Thanks so much again, and we hope to see you all soon.
Cheers,
COTC
