Hey Girls, 
We are here to give you an idea of what to expect 
when you start roller derby. If you'd like to be a Derby Demon
you'll be required to:
-Attend Practice twice a week
-Learn the rules of the game
-Attain USARS insurance  (we'll help you with that)
-Pay monthly dues
-Get some skates and Pads (But are not required when you first start out, we do have rentals you can use)
-You must be 18+ to be a member
- Must be willing to travel for team events and away bouts

1. We practice twice a week Monday and Thursday from 8:30pm-10:30pm. at the Deland Skating Center 1779 N. Spring Garden Ave. Deland, FL 32720

2. We host various events throughout the year. You'll be required to participate in anything from fundraisers, meet and greets, promotional events and much more!

3. We use the most current version of the WFTDA rules. The rules can be found at:      http://www.wftda.com/official-rules/

4. We strive to keep all of our skaters safe and heathly but acidents do happen. The USARS insurance is for your protection and it is required. The YEARLY cost: $55.

5. New Skaters will attend their first practice for free. After that $25 a month will be due for the first 3 months. After 3 months dues increse to $35 a month.  By paying dues and skating as a member of the SFDD you'll be able to get into any open session at the Deland Skating Center for FREE.

6. Required Pieces of Equipment:  4 wheel quad Roller Skates, Helmet, Knee Pads, Elbow Pads, Wrist Guards, Mouth Guard.  We will be happy to help you find the best places to purchase all of your Roller Derby Equipment.

7. While Roller Derby and Skating experiance is a plus it is NOT requried to become a member of this league.  All you need is heart and your willingness to learn!
