I recently got back from producing/recording for my lovely friend Brian Webb.  We tracked 4 days up in Athens, Vermont at Pete Weiss' studio Verdant.  It was the first phase of making his long awaited new album.  We had all the members of the Brian Webb band up there in the freezing cold (it got down to -17):  Jeff Berlin (drums and the Honest Abe), Jeremy Curtis (electric and upright bass), and myself (guitars and other instruments).  Sean Staples came up for a day for some singing and beautiful mandolin playin'.  And Rose Polenzani and Rose Cousins were there to sing some incredible harmonies.  We also did a version of Bird on Wire with Rose P. on ukulele (her first solo)!

Jason Myles Goss has just finished his album and it will be mastered on Monday!  I had a great time working on his record.  I think it came out beautifully.  It was co-produced by myself, Zack Hickman and Joel Arnow and features all of us playing many different instruments as well as Sam Kassirer and Neil Cleary.  We mixed it over four long days at Q Division with the amazingly talented Rafi Sofer.  It should be out late in the spring.

In the recent past I was fortunate to get to play on (I recorded in my home studio) Mark Erelli's new album Delivered.  This is a great record (produced by Zack) and Mark is such a pleasure to work with.  And before that I played on Rachael Davis' album Antebellum Queens, which is just lovely.

Yaaahh!!  Austin
