Why am I a VIP? Well first off, I'm the first one to be posting a response to this, so that makes me quite important. Second off, I am the lead singer of The Dagger Rebellion, the metal band, no one knows about, at all. But seriously, i'm pretty important, my mom told me.

Hello my name is Alex Tucker, I think i am a V.I.P. because I go to alot of shows and i am very into the music scene. I am often at the agora for concerts and the agora is one of my favorite venues. Agora has lots of great shows and i will be attending many this summer. I also go to atleast a show a week . This is why I am a V.I.P.
 

why am i a vip? well i love going to concerts and i have never been to the agora even thought i have been in every other concert venue in town. so i feel that i should be a vip so then i can get introduced to the agora in style. ive been outside of there a million times dropping off my brother down there but i've never been to a concert there or inside. all my friends ask me what it is like in there and i don't know. so you would be getting good pubisity from you giving me the vip pass. thanks! please pick me.
 

I am a VIP because the agora is my favorite place to see concerts, and if i win the passes i will give the tickets i have to my poor friends so they can come and finally see mindless, wwb, the aquabats for the first time and i will get to see matisyahu for the first time.  Plus im taking off four days of work and getting a hotel for this so i can go every night.

Im a V.I.P because im a big supporter of local music ever since the old days when i was 5 or 6 listenin to cryptkicker and mushroomhead ever since then ive been lovin our scene i started a promotions site on my myspace to promote any good local band that asks me to promote them im still young to the scene at a hip 14 but ive done as much as i can for it and i plan on continuing doing so for the rest of my life and one day if im lucky being in a band in the scene this y im a V.I.P

The reason I believe that I am VIP material is b/c I have spent countless hours working at WBWC 88.3fm with many local and national artists helping them get on the air all at no cost or payment for myself.  I actually paid to do that...and now I can't even find a job.  I support music because it is a cure to many people's problems.
 

Because I've worked with every big promoter and rock club in this city, and host the best rock night in town. I also drink tons and tip a lot, so the bartenders love me. My crew loves to tear it up, and throw mad money into the bar. And because wherever we end up is usally where the party is. Plus I dig half the bands that are playing, and will be having an after party on Saturday at V Lounge for Indie Night.

 

i'm a VIP because i don't give a fuck about your VIP contest. So you might as well just give me the passes because i deserve the special treatment anyway.
 

Why am I a VIP?  I have loved & supported the Cleveland scene for many years!  Even back in the day when there was a Cleveland & Painesville Agora!  I have been to way to many shows to list.  But I love this town, we are blessed with many types of bands and some great venues.  I AM A VIP BABY!!!

 

Why am I a v.i.p.  I'm a V.I.P. because of my love for live shows, and the work I've put into them.  I attend more shows than most people should, and invest countless amounts of money into it.  I also book shows on occassion.  I'm also a photographer in the music industry.  Given a pass, I could make good use of it, and document the festival through a camera lens.
 

I'm such a goddamn V.I.P. I don't even need to tell you I'm a V.I.P. Besides, Everyone else already knows it. Proof:

i'm a VIP because i've been going to shows since 1987. some of my favorite shows over the years have been at the Agora (especially H2O shows--i've seen them all over the US and nothing has compared to their agora shows! and i haven't set foot in HOB since it opened here.

so i'm your VIP because i'm a) old; b) not patronizing your competition;  and c) i'll actually use the passes wisely, not just for a show or two. so there you have it.

theres two different vips. one is the abbreviation associated with celebrities. the other represents the words behind the letters, a very important person. while often times the two overlap, the lines have become rather blurred in the recent past. society is fucked up. authenticity is sold to the highest bidder if acknowledged at all. artists follow their forebears into darkness and are lost. minorities are pitted against themselves and one another. the religious right are indistinguishable from the law-bound pharisee religous council that spit upon and crucified christ. and while people are blow to bits around the globe daily, the american public is so well trained that our attention is focused on media-whores. the only way to make a difference is to look inside of yourself, to your very core and follow that. its then that you will find joy, and importance........and actually give a shit about waking up in the morning. its not easy, greatness is cultivated. youll be second-guessed, derided, lost at times, but deep down, you keep going in spite of all else because you know its all you really have.

Hmmmm...... Grew up in Cleveland. Played in 2 really pathetic bands now that I look back on it but it was fun as hell at the time. I still remember the band "The Virgin Destroyers" and "Marinated Anus" and "The Unknown" "Beatnik Termites" and "The Spineriders" I remember when Flash's was still open and remember when it was closed. I remember when the North Olmstead "Big Boy" statue was taken right off the property by some redneck in a truck only to be found on the front yard of some old dude.

I always will remember that "Cleveland ROCKS!" and Spinal Tap helped build its power!
