Current mood:  working

“I think I thought there wasn’t anyway I could want this album more than I already did, but after hearing it, August 18th can’t come fast enough!”
“Odds is one I can see myself singing along to while driving down the highway”

“Clipping – brilliantly beautiful”

“Very atmospheric without overplaying it”

“Everything that made the band brilliant before is still present, but the new direction definitely takes advantage of some previously untapped potential.”

“There’s a great balance of experimentation and classic, catchy hooks and choruses”

“I love the piano in Clipping. It captivates my consciousness and sets it free”

“Backfire – bombarded with bass, a new MM sound, can’t wait to see it translate live.”

“I love that you can’t predict the sound from track to track”

“This album totally encapsulates every part of MM: smart lyrics, out of this world instrumentation, and completely different and creative music apart of what’s out now.”

i can't think of a better way to spend my 18th birthday than to spend it listening to your album in Nashville. Heck Yes!

I'm a bit twisted right now with the couple o' tracks that have been delivered on MS:

- I think the music is going to translate fantastically live.

- I don't completely feel like I'm listening to MuteMath when I hear the new tracks. And this kinda scares me. It really sounds like the producer pushed you guys in a new direction but to me its one that pulls you away from much of what I've loved since the EP and really, even going back to ES. I still rock the ROMS on a regular basis because of the raw creativity that exudes from that shiny disc. That same raw power is in MM, I just don't hear it in these new tracks.

- I'm going to buy it Day 1 and will probably be blown away and if I'm not, I'm certain the new live show will perform that job nicely :)

I guess it really comes down to being dissapointed that when I first heard the tracks, my reaction wasn't "YES!" which is what I really wanted to do. I've just been more "well I mean, they SOUND good but there's just something..like, man, I don't know what is, I'm really kinda 'eh' when I hear these new tunes."

Here's hoping August 18th changes all that.
