Dear Listeners,

I am very happy and proud to say the Moss CD is out! I do believe you can find it at Barnes and Noble, Borders, and also on Amazon.

For those of you who don't know what Moss is, I'll tell you. It came from a discussion Luciana Souza and Peter Eldridge had on a Train. Lu wanted to ask a select group of solo artists to come together and share music and ideas. So Peter and Lu settled on asking me, Theo Bleckmann and Kate McGarry. It began with a few charts to try and then we all started writing songs and arranging for the group. There was no agenda for the sound and direction of the group, only that we wanted to experiment and work in areas individually we were not versed. Gradually we collected enough music to do a show, the first being Joe's Pub in 2005.

After doing a show in LA in the summer of 2006, we received a great review from Don Heckman of the LA Times and an offer from Sunnyside Records to capture the group and repertoire. We were all thrilled as we felt this was a special combination of people and the concept on the choral writing had a unique sound and approach.

In the summer of 2007, we found four days all of us could convene to record. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun. Ben Wittman produced the CD for us as well as played drums in the band! The rest of the band is rounded out with the gorgeous sounds of Ben Monder and Keith Ganz on guitars, Tim LeFebvre on Bass' and Peter Eldridge on Piano.

For more information about Moss, please visit www.mossproduced.org. And by all means, pick up the CD!!!!

Lauren,
Sadly, the web site www.mossproduced.org is not functioning except for the email address. I'm going to find the CD at Amazon.com.
Looking forward to seeing you 10/16 at the Brooks Center at Clemson Univ. I saw you with
NYV in Augusta, my home, last winter when you did the afternoon at ASU and looking forward to seeing the group with Paquito this time.
Thanks again for your wonderful work and best regards always,
Bill Hartzman
