Well NORCAM is in control!

That's right as of January 5th 2008 we run North Reading's Local Access. 

We are making changes everyday.  The next big change will alter the way the channel's look and the way the station's operate.  We are making the first of many equipment upgrade's.  We are installing a NEXUS automation system to serve as our master control.  We will soon have better graphics, better system control, a video server system and lot's of cool toys that will be a big step in getting our channels up to snuff.  This will fully integrate our system to allow remote access, updating and control paving the way for a real-time, interactive system.  In addition to all this we are adding new bulliten board systems and more playback support. 

Next up we need to hire an Executive Director. We have a number of applicants and are in the process of interviewing.  Once they come on board we will start to focus our efforts on getting more people involved. 

WE NEED MEMBERS.   Part of what we are trying to do is to get the people of North Reading and surronding communities involved.  Here is how it works.

Step 1 - You join NORCAM

Step 2 - You learn how to make TV! (sound's fun huh?)

Step 3 - YOU MAKE TV   - You're creative, you have idea's, let them shine!  

Step 4 - WE AIR IT - Let everyone see your work, show them you are creative, educate them, entertain them, impress them.  Show people what you can do with a little imagination.

Step 5 - Get your friends involved!!!

Local Access is fun and a great way to learn about the way TV is made.  It can be a start to a career, an outlet for creativity, a fun hobby, a post-retirement project!  ANYONE CAN BE PART OF LOCAL ACCESS.
