All we can say is "WOW"!  We had an awesome time at Celtic Colours International Festival!  We performed in 5 shows, the first one was the day after our arrival, on October 10th in a small first nations community called Wagmatcook.  On the bill that night was Ashley MacIsaac, Sierra Noble and Fidil.  We were treated to a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner (the first of 4 such dinners over the course of the week).  The festival relies on "drivers" who shuttle performers to and from gigs.  Our driver was a great guy and he also was in charge of selling our CD's during the intermission.  He did an awesome job, selling way more CD's than we had anticipated.  We met a couple of "festival" buyers who were interested in booking us for their festival.  After the show we were shuttled back to the Gaelic College (where we were staying) and then got ready for our first "Festival Club" performance - at 1 am!  The Festival Club is an "after hours" licensed club located in the Hall of the Clans at the Gaelic College.  At the Festival Club performers perform in an informal setting, a lot of times collaborating with other acts.  That night was really busy, Quinn, because he's a minor had to have special permission to play, but we was only allowed in there for a short time (an hour I think).  We played a 20 minute set, then Ashley MacIsaac and Quinn did a 20 minute set, then Pierre Schryer, who happened to be in the audience, decided to go up with Quinn and they did a 20 minute set.  WOW! that was amazing, and we've got a couple of videos posted on our Youtube Channel which you should check out.  That was our first day in Cape Breton, at Celtic Colours.  We left the Festival Club around 2:30 am and saundered over to the Cafeteria which was serving breakfast!  Yes!  that's right, breakfast! at 2:30 am.  Thus began our daily ritual of breakfast at 2:30 am!

Will post another blog about some of our other Celtic Colours experience in the days to come!
