In the past two weeks, I've started filming a little movie project, gone to the beach, went to the VIP opening of a new club, dealt with a handful of drama, took my mother out for Mother's Day, dabbled in a bit of shopping, mastered the paddleball {213!}, applied to my new school {and filled out the fafsa}, attended a graduation, went to a show, learned the joys of drinking in the daytime {housework+wine+Lily Allen}, gone ice skating {do not like} and I've shot a wedding, an engagement, a starter model portfolio, and a band. This weekend is another wedding and while I desperately need to finish editing the photos from the previous wedding, instead I'm sitting here, only writing this little blog as a justifiable form of procrastination.

Lies: "Come on, Nina...it's not procrastination. You've been meaning to update your blog for a while now! You're actually getting something done that should've been done a while ago!"

Me: "Oh, yes...just like I needed to upload all of Lily Allen's discography to my Zune, right?"

Lies: "EXACTLY. Music is proven to make you 79% more productive."

Me: "You made that up."

Lies: "Wine helps too. It's good for your heart."

I'm well on my way to being an old lady who cracks a bottle right before lunch and loves her sailors because they stay the same age no matter how old she gets.

I've always thought wine sort of had a particular level of sophistication that surpasses the questionable "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" rule-of-thumb.  And while it is sometimes necessary to pour a little vodka into your breakfast OJ to ease the pain of an enjoyable night before, wine is never EVER out of time or out of season.  ;)  So are the words of a wino.
