Here is some stuff that my friends are up to.

My friend Katie produced a movie. It is called "The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell." It comes out October 19th. I haven't seen it yet but Katie is awesome so I wouldn't count it out. Its website is myspace.com/bpthmovie.

My friend Danny is a writer for The Simpsons and he is choosing what spooky name to put in the credits of this year's Halloween episode. He is holding a contest to choose this name. The deadline is Friday, October 5th. Enter this contest at myspace.com/cijl.

Apparently a lot of my friends have won $50 gift certificates to Macys, etc., but those people seem movtivated to tell the world about that themselves.

Can't wait to check out a new episode of The Office tonight. I'd be lying if I said I was looking forward to seeing Ryan only because I don't know if I can take that level of awkward today.

It is not even a girl, it is a 34 year old man that has a teenaged girl in a bikini as his deafault picture. That should tell you something!

And all of them seem to have taken a picture of their winnings too. Weeeird. A simple, "I won a gift card!!" could of worked, but I guess an ultra huge photo of it makes it completely valid.

LOL i never thought about that, but you're right, it is weird.... the spam would be much more believable if there wasn't a giant picture of a giftcard!

and here's another thing. creed and kevin and toby and all the other minor characters, ..freakin stanley, all of them, they are not awesome. some people actually say that creed is their favorite part of the show. screw that. micheal is clearly 1, then dwight, then jim, then pam, and then.. whatever.

liking creed the most on the office is like liking it most when homer says "doh!" or "donuts" on the simpsons. maybe this isn't true. screw creed. no, i like creed, but come on! i don't like stanley. meredith is ok. oscar is ok. oscar's best moment was when he said he was more offended my angela's kitch baby posters than he is by hard core porn. toby's best moment was when he was listing to michael and offering to list more, all the reasons why the casino night was not suitable for children. stanley has the range of a tuning fork. angela is ok. what's her name, who's married to bob vance is ok. melora hardin is great. why is she a nobody and diane lane is a superstar?

ryan is pretty good.

Ya, I'm pretty sure one of the reasons this show is such a success is because of it's subtleties; a term with which you are obviously familiar with.

Here's something: do you really think he cares about what YOU find wrong with the show? If you don't like it, then stop watching it! We won't miss you. Stop spamming him with your (poorly written) opinions.

you are a strange girl. not everyone can have a huge personality on this show. they are supposed to be playing REAL people at a paper company. not everyone is going to be excited about it, and nuts. stanley is HILARIOUS! his non-reactions and the way he almost just ignores everything happening around him is so funny. he cracks me up! he hates his job, doesn't care about the people around him, he just wants to work and go home, so it's great to see him interact with those people. creed is funny because he's the creepy druggie old guy that says the most random stuff. if they didn't have EVERY character on this show that's on it it wouldn't be the same.

Its not a girl, its a sleazy dude. He whines on his blog about how he had trouble finding the nude pics of Vanessa Hudgens. He claims to be 34 years old. Probably lives in his mother's basement.

i just went to your page. oh my god! you're a jesus freak! how boring and unappealing. it's 2007. get with it! jesus and god and stuff are totally for the birds. do you believe in santa klaus too? or do you just believe in virgin births and a 6000 year old earth? read dawkins and hitchens and then tell your daughter the truth so she's not made fun of so much when all this god stuff is really really out of style.

let me pray for you: "lord jesus, i pray to you to make steve thin. answer my prayers tender lord jesus and don't accuse me of ripping off that ricky bobby, will farrel movie with my prayer. please lord jesus, make his stomach small, the way it once was for 5 minutes when he was a tiny child. jesus, do your own divine version of gastric bypass and help brother steven with his weight. he eats for comfort and not nutrition. take away his pain lord jesus, and take away his extra chins lord jesus, the chins that are so prominent even in his best pictures and no matter how far he tilts his head. answer my prayer lord jesus. amen."

Wow, you are creepy. Yes, I am a Christian, because I choose to believe in Truth, you choose to believe in porn. The fact that you would equating belief in Jesus Christ with belief in Santa Claus proves a lack of intellectual capacity. The life, death and resurrection of Jesus is an immutable, verifiable fact of history, yet you still choose to post nude photos of teenagers in your blog.

Woah. Hey, guess what. God is the ONLY way to keep you out of Hell the way you're talking, so if I were you, I'd become a Jesus freak. It's not a style. It's a way to live. It's the only way to live. So I would say you're dying of your own stupidity.

Okay...A) That girl "Jay" who's going off on comment rants for this blog is either an arrogant nutjob w/no kind of sense whatsoever (nor common courtesy for that matter) or B) she's your friend and is joking around? What the f*ck? If she has so much to criticize...why is she bothering watching or commenting you about it. Very rude...or very weird. Seems very insecure to me.

ANYHOW...Can't wait to see Ryan in action as the big boss tonight! The Office rocks my world. Best written TV show EVER. Hands down. (Take THAT "Jay").

I live in Chicago and people have not warmed up to the notion of Macy's for the most part. Most of Chicago icnonography is either gone or have been replaced up foreign brands. I myself do not shop at Macy's. I never shopped at Marshall Field's either. I shop at Kohl's or Target. It's five minutes from my home and I do not have to deal with the mall. I am not the most motivated of consumers.

Lol, all strangely positioned nudies aside, the blog is fine, it is yours and you can do with it what you like...but that first episode. Come on. Even you have to admit it was weak. I understand loving every minute of The Office. I do.

I sadly have watched all episodes repeatedly and all of the extras, including commentary (although I will say, you guys have to put less people on there so that you actually can listen to everyone...some people never even get a word in!) But I digress; that episode was a phone-in if ever there was one...but last night...now that was a great episode! Although I would have gotten a bigger kick out of it if Kelly had carried the fake-pregnancy thing on through a few more episodes!

Anyway, in light of all the episodes this season, I am sure I won't "hate" the first one, but after faithfully watching re-runs all summer and buying up DVD's....I expected more. Don't make this a shark jumping season. Please.

last night's episode was ok i guess. it's funny that you mention jumping the shark, because that is exactly what i was thinking when they drove into the lake. (but they really drove into that lake, like, in real life. wow.)

gosh, maybe it's me who's for the birds! jeez! everyone hates me!

letterman once said on his show, "i used to drink and when i did i was the first one to arrive at the party and the last one to leave, and all the next day i would be writing apology notes." so this is my apology note. sort of. i get a little out of line and opinionated at the bars and i guess i do the same thing in chatrooms. sorry.

i love the office and would watch the crappiest episode of the office, which season 4 episode 1 was, any day over 2 and half men or any other sitcom. 30 rock is good though.

i love pam and jim. pam and jim are sometimes annoying.

the secondary characters are overrated.

is what i did so bad? people like to complain more than compliment. isn't this common knowledge? they even said this in the office uk in that training video. but still, i defer to the fact that the room is unanimously against me. from now on i will write something more like, "hi, great show. i'm definitely watching tonight." and then i'll try end my little note with a really good macy's gift certificate joke.
