Yo! What up fam? Just got word back that one of the projects we're involved in will be released February 5, 2008. Latchkey Recordings, based out of NYC/LA have started a series of releases/sub label called IndyRoute, featuring independent artists from different parts of the country, and they have decided that IndyRoute Austin will be the first release. IndyRoute: seeking out great independent music - city to city, state to state - coast to coast. IndyRoute is a new series and web destination where we highlight great independent artists and their cities across the US. The compilation is multi-genre, with a heavy dose of rock, pop, country and a little bit of hip-hop and electronica for good luck! The artists featured on IndyRoute: Austin work non-stop creating and promoting themselves in Austin's music scene. Many tour nationally, have some radio and video exposure and gig locally all the time. Artists have been featured on NPR, Amplifier, Pop Culture Press, KUT 90.5, The Austin Chronicle, The Austin Sound and many more.
