We want to let you know what's been happening with the Howl over these last months and what you can expect to hear from us in the future.

The New Record

The Howl took time off of the road this winter to write and record our next record, tentatively titled Formland. This is a smoking set that is the most soulful and exciting Howl music to date. We rolled through a ten song set of Howlin' Wolf tunes that have been put through our own rock and roll filter. These tunes have come out the other side sounding more like The Howl than would be expected from an album of tunes inspired by the great work of one of our heroes. It is a rewriting, not a recreation.

This recording is not for release just yet, however we want to give our fans a chance to hear one of the tunes.

Live Shows

With the record done, we're going to be playing local shows before touring nationwide with the record's release.


Saturday, April 7 - we will be appearing as special guests in NYC for an acoustic set at Buckler Jeans .

Fridy, April 27 - The Abbey Lounge in Somerville, MA. This is going to be a smoking night of killer rock and roll power trios including The Peasants , and Super 400 . Don't miss out on a show this big, at such a cool intimate venue.

Saturday, May 5 - Gilrein's in Worcester, MA. The Howl returns to the newly reopened venue where Troy and JB spent formative years honing their skills for the Howl.
